The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association, in their endeavor to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admission to the member institutions, have formed "Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka" (COMEDK).

COMEDK has been assigned the task of organising a common entrance test for the academic year 2010-2011, for candidates aspiring to pursue Post Graduate Courses in Medicine and Dentistry in the state of Karnataka, in Member Institutions of the Consortium (Medical and Dental Colleges).

COMEDK entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counseling (Single window). The details will be published in due course on our website: www.comedk.org

COMEDK PGET – 2010 at Bangalore only: 31.01.2010

Eligibility: Degree / Diploma Programs:  Applicants must meet all requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI. Accordingly, they should have successfully passed their M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. from an institution recognized by MCI / DCI, and must have completed or completing their internship by 30/04/2010.

MCI / DCI Norms: Every student, selected for admission to the Post Graduate Medical / Dental course in any of the Medical / Dental institutions in the country, shall possess recognized M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical / Dental Council or should obtain the same with in one month from the date of admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

In the case of a foreign national, the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate training restricted to the college / institution to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for Post Graduate studies. Temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subject to the condition that such person is duly registered as medical practitioner in his own country from which he / she has obtained his / her basic Medical / Dental qualification and that his / her degree is recognized by the corresponding Council or concerned authority in India.

As per the Post Graduate Regulation 2000 of Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the Entrance Test (COMEDK PGET-2010) for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate Courses shall be 50% for General Merit candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes belonging to Karnataka State.

As specified by the Dental Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the Entrance Test (COMEDK PGET-2010) for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate Courses shall be 50% for General Merit candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes belonging to Karnataka State.

Rank list / Rank Card will be prepared only for those candidates who become eligible for admission to Post Graduate Courses as per the regulations of Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India Regulations.

The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India COMPETITIVE WRITTEN TEST for admission to MBBS course (84 seats) in TWO stages: PMT-2010 SCREENING and PMT-2010 MAIN, and for BDS (38 seats), BAMS (78 seats) and B. Pharm. (33 seats) courses in ONE stage: PMT-2010 Screening. PMT-2010 SCREENING shall be held on Wednesday, the 12th May 2010 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres, to screen candidates for eligibility to appear in PMT-2010 MAIN examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, the 13th June 2010 at Varanasi Centre only. For BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm. courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2010 SCREENING only.

ELIGIBILITY :
QUALIFICATIONS - Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together; (i) For MBBS/BDS/BAMS – a minimum of 50% for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 40% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates; (ii) For B.Pharm. – a minimum of 60% marks for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

From the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221 005 by sending a written request through Registered Post along with Crossed Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque (MICR only) of Rs. 1200/- (Rs. 800/- for SC/ST candidates) of a Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of "The Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU" payable at Varanasi. Application form will be sent by Speed / Registered Post. However, Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay. The request for application form must include the name and address of the candidate, and full particulars of the enclosed DD/BC (write candidate's name and address on the back of DD). Two self-addressed, preferably typed, white paper slips of 10 cm × 6 cm size MUST also accompany it. The ENVELOP containing requisition for PMT application form should be super scribed "Request for Application for PMT-2010, BHU". Last date of requisition for PMT form by post is Friday, the 19th February 2010. Incomplete/non-cashable Draft (under amount/unsigned/ without Bank Code No. & Seal) shall not be accepted. NOTE: (a) Separate Bank Draft will be required for each application form. (b) M.O./I.P.O./Cheques shall NOT be accepted under any circumstances. Application Forms from the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, can be obtained by POST only and not in person. An entrance test on all India basis will be held on 21st February 2010 at VARANASI for admission to  MD/MS courses for the year 2010. The subjects and category wise distribution of seats will be notified later on the BHU & IMS websites (www.bhu.ac.in/imsbhu.nic.in). Eligibility: MBBS (MCI recognized) with one year rotating internship completed by 30‐4‐2010. Those who have passed MD/MS in any subject are not eligible. Eligibility:
The applicant must be a citizen of India and should have passed the H.S. (10+2) or its equivalent examination. The general candidates must have to secure at least 50.00% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology taken together (40.00% for SC/ST candidates) and at least 30.00% marks in English (for all categories). In addition, candidates must secure at least pass marks in the subjects individually including vernacular (or any other fifth subject) as mentioned below:

For all the Courses except B. Arch., Marine Engineering and B. Pharmacy: General candidates must pass H.S. (10+2) or it's equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates) and with at least 30% marks in English (for all category of candidates) with individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject).

For Marine Engineering Course:
The minimum percentage of marks is 60 % in place of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together in '10+2' level with at least 50% marks in English either in 10th or in 12th Standard and with individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject) for all category of candidates.

For B. Pharm. Course:
General candidates must pass H.S.(10+2) or it's equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates) and with at least 30% marks in English and having individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject) for all category of candidates. It should be noted that for admission to B.Pharm. course in Jadavpur University, general candidates must pass the H.S.(10+2) or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics only taken together and with at least 30% marks in English and having individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject). For SC/ST candidates, the minimum mark is 40% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics only taken together.

For B. Arch course :
A candidate, besides satisfying the eligibility criteria as stated in 3.4(a), Para-1, must have to qualify in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi and necessary document in this regard is to be produced at the time of Counselling.

For Medical and Dental courses:
General Candidates must pass H.S. (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination recognized by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences with individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject) along with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the said qualifying examination (10+2). In addition, candidates must have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biological Sciences taken together in the Joint Entrance Examination, West Bengal. In respect of SC/ST candidates, the aforesaid marks will be 40% instead of 50% in the qualifying examination (10+2) as well as in the Joint Entrance Examination.
 

For MBBS and BDS courses :
In addition to the aforesaid eligibility criteria, the general candidates must have to secure at least 50.00% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biological Sciences taken together (40.00% for SC/ST) in the Joint Entrance Examination, W.B. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2010 will be allowed to sit for JEM-2010 provisionally and their admission, if merit listed, will be subjected to satisfying the minimum requirements of eligibility as specified above.

Age Restriction:
Candidates must be 17 (seventeen) years of age or above as on 31.12.2010. There is no upper age limit except for the Marine Engineering course for which the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31.07.2010.

Residential Requirements:
Candidates desirous of seeking admission to Government Engineering / Technology Colleges, Govt. Medical and Dental Colleges as well as to Private Medical and Dental Colleges, must have been residing in the State of West Bengal continuously at least for last 10 (ten) years as on 31.12.2009 or their parents must be permanent resident of West Bengal having their permanent home address in the State of West Bengal.
 

Reservation:
Reservation for SC/ST/PC candidates is as per State Govt. Rules.

Examination: To be located in the State of West Bengal and Tripura.

 Candidates likely to complete their internship on or before 31/03/2010 should submit documentary proof from their Principals/Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of Internship. Candidate will be fully responsible for submitting correct information in the Application Form.

Each candidate would be required to appear for a written entrance test. Limited number of candidates would be invited for the GDPI in order of merit under each category. Final admission list would be drawn on merit basis on the basis of aggregate marks secured in entrance test and GDPI for each category.

A separate waiting list would also be drawn on merit basis for admission, in case vacancy exists in future.

9. Entrance Test Date : Sunday, 31st January, 2010. [Timings: 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.]

How to obtain application form: Prospectus containing Application Form is available from the Section Officer (Admn.) from November 11, 2009 to December 31, 2009 between 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. & 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. (Monday to Friday) on payment of Rs. 800/- (Rs. 400/- for OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates) by Cash/Bank Draft. The Draft should be drawn in favour of Principal, Shri Ram College of Commerce, payable at Bank of Baroda, New Delhi.

The amount of Rs.800/- and Rs.400/- includes examination fee and other incidental fee for selection process.

12. How to fill application form, attach required documents and submit duly completed application form. :

Appiicants are eligible with score of CAT, GMAT, GRE, GATE and UGC-JRF.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT:
Stipend Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 24,000 per month, Teaching Assistantship upto Rs.11,000 per month as per rules, computer grant, fieldwork grant, contingency grant of Rs. 20,000 per year. Full support for upto three international conference attendance anywhere in the world.

The last date of receipt of requests for the application form by post is January 08, 2010.

Completed application Form ($) together with a Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- in favour of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta should reach the Administrative Officer (FPR) at the aforesaid address on or before January 25,2010.

A candidate can apply to a maximum of two areas (with only one demand draft of Rs. 300/-).

There is no application fee for SC/ST applicants who submit an attested copy of SC/ST Certificate.

Eligibility: ·         
The minimum qualification is passing in Higher Secondary / PUC, 10+2 with Math's, Physics with a minimum of 50% aggregate of any recognized University Board or any qualification recognized as equivalent by D.G.C.A. Government of India.
A pass in Studentship examination of A.M.Ae.S.I. Or A.M.I.E. or any other equivalent exam.
A pass in a 3 year Engineering Diploma Course of any good recognized Polytechnic.

Age: At least 16 years for enrollment.
