Become a graduate while studying at ATDC
 
Community College brings employable skills to the doorsteps of the potential candidates while acting as a bridge to the local industry and Apparel Clusters. The Community Colleges also bring into its ambit the disadvantaged sections of the society including women and rural youth. The Community College will be accredited and authorized to award an Associate Degree through IGNOU track within two years as its highest degree after Plus-II pass with flexibility of lateral entry to third year of the Degree programme of IGNOU.

The students would require to attend the regular contact classes at convenient timings for fixed credit hours. At the end of each year, the student will get a Certificate/ Diploma/ Associate Degree, if he/she decides to discontinue, he/she can complete the required credits at the later stage to get his/her Associate Degree. V- Sat and other communication technologies will also be used.

The Community College is an "autonomous body" under the aegis of the parent body AEPC/ATDC and will have a Common Composite Board of management, Academic Council & Examination Cell common to the 12 ATDC- IGNOU Community Colleges. Community Colleges would work under the rules and regulations of AEPC/ATDC & IGNOU Joint Coordination Committee.

ATDC- IGNOU Community Colleges would have 2-year curricula that would lead to an Associate Degree for transfer to an Under Graduate (UG) College or student's direct entry into any occupation or trade. These colleges are a source of skill and contingencies based on the industry requirement and provide an educated and skilled workforce to the industry that improves the quality of life for individual, communities, and the nation.
 
 
- All programmes on offer by the Community College will have enrolments twice a year i.e. July and January.

4th POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT (PGDRDM): 2011-12

 

The National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) is a premier national center of excellence in rural development. Supported by the Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India, it builds capacities of the rural development functionaries, elected representatives, academicians and young students through inter-related activities of teaching, training, research, action research and consultancy.
The NIRD faculty comprises experienced academicians and development practitioners. The Institute has functional networks with national and international organisations. It has excellent training and teaching infrastructure.

The NIRD announces its fourth fully residential One-year 'Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM)' with an aim to create a committed and competent cadre of Rural Development professionals in the country. While laying the theoretical foundations of rural development, the programme seeks to impart management techniques that will enhance the understanding of the paradigm and practice of rural development.

ELIGIBILITY: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 1st August, 2011 may also apply.
Some seats are reserved for the Indian in-service candidates and international in-service candidates sponsored by regional development organizations such as AARDO and CIRDAP.
Indian in-service candidates should possess at least two years of work experience in rural development and allied sectors, and are required to apply through their employers.
The international candidates should apply through the Secretariats of the respective regional organisations viz., AARDO, CIRDAP. Organisational Sponsorship for all the in-service candidates is essential.
In-service Indian candidates are required to appear for the Entrance Test along with the general students. However, a separate merit list will be prepared for them for admissions.

The eligibility parameters for international students are placed on the NIRD's website.

SELECTION PROCESS: Selection of candidates will be made through a process of All-India Entrance Test which will test the verbal, quantitative and analytical competencies of the students including written English Language Skills.

Group Discussion and Personal Interviews will be conducted for the short-listed students.

TOTAL NO. OF SEATS: 60 (may undergo some changes depending upon the availability of infrastructure. Of these, up to 15 seats may be allotted to the in-service Indian and international candidates).

PROGRAMME DURATION: (One year) August, 2011 to July, 2012

COURSE FEE: Indian Students Rs. 1.60 lakh; International Students: US $ 6500 Board and Lodging: The annual board and lodging expenses will be approximately Rs.1,00,000 for Indian students and US $ 4500 for international students.
Accommodation will be given to the students in the NIRD hostels/campus. Caution Deposit: A refundable Caution Deposit of Rs. 10,000 for Indian students and US $ 200 for International students (Mess Deposit, Library Deposit and Hostel Deposit) is a requirement.

Seat Registration Fee: Upon selection, a non-refundable Seat Registration Fee of Rs. 16,000 should be paid by the Indian students. This amount will be adjusted against the first trimester fee.

SCHOLARSHIPS: Merit and need based scholarships will be made available to deserving Indian students. The North Eastern Council, Shillong, has fully funded the North Eastern students selected for the PGDRDM in the past.
Similar financial support to the admitted students domiciled in the North Eastern region is likely for the current year as well. Study loans will also be facilitated by the NIRD for the needy Indian students.

RESERVATION: Reservations for the students of the SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) and Persons with Disability (PWD) will be made as per Government of India's policies.

ENTRANCE TEST: The Entrance Test will be conducted on 06.02.2011 at the following centres: Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Indore, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Kohima, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, Rajkot, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Siliguri, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Vishakhapatanam.
However, the NIRD reserves the right to cancel any of the centres or add new centres for any administrative reasons and assign any other centre to the applicants.

PLACEMENT: NIRD will endeavour to make placements on successful completion of the PGDRDM, but does not guarantee. However, all the students of the previous batches of the PGDRDM were placed with State and Central government agencies, public sector banks and non-governmental organizations. The same trend is expected this year as well.


HOW TO APPLY: Prospectus-cum-application form can be obtained from the Admissions Coordinator, Centre for Post Graduate Studies (CPGS), NIRD, Hyderabad free of cost. Application forms will also be given at NIRD – NERC office at Khanapara, Guwahati and at the Eastern Regional Centre of NIRD at Patna and at the NIRD centre at Jaipur. The addresses of these centres can be obtained from our website or through email: pgdrdmnird@gmail.com. Request for Application forms should reach along with self addressed stamped (Rs.13) envelope of size 12" x 10" by 15.12.10 during working hours (9.00 am to 5.30 pm). It can also be downloaded from the NIRD's website www.nird.org.in/pgdrdm The filled in application form should be submitted along with the application fee of Rs.1200 (Rs.600/- for SC/ST and PWD candidates) and US $ 75 for international candidates through an 'Account Payee' Demand Draft drawn in favour of NIRD, payable at Hyderabad. The international students should use the SWIFT CODE: SBHYINBB052. A/c Number: 62052905893 for sending application fee of US $ 75.

The filled in application form should be addressed to the Admissions Coordinator, Centre for Post Graduate Studies (CPGS), National Institute of Rural Development, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500 030 (A.P), India, so as to reach on or before 23.12.10. Last date for receipt of applications from the students residing in the North Eastern States is 31.12.10 and for international students it is 31.03.2011. Applications received after the cut off date shall be rejected. NIRD reserves the right to make changes to the Diploma Programme, its design/content and the process of selection, depending upon the exigencies, without assigning any reasons whatsoever.

The KLE University, Karnataka, will be conducting KLE University Post-Graduate All India Entrance-Test-2011 (KLE-PGAIET-2011) on Saturday, the 29th January  2011 at sixteen centers across the country viz. Pattern of Examination: AIEEE will consist of 2 papers. Paper 1 - Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics to be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm on 24.4.2011, will have objective type questions with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Paper 2 to be held from 2 pm to 5 pm on 24.4.2011, will consist of Mathematics in Part I with objective type questions, Aptitude Test in Part II with objective type questions and Drawing Test under Part III having questions to test Drawing Aptitude.

Papers to appear: Those who wish to be considered for B.E/B.Tech courses only will have to appear for Paper 1 only while those desirous of joining B. Arch/B.Planning only, will have to appear for Paper 2. Those desirous of being considered for B.E/B.Tech as well as B. Arch/B.Planning should appear for both the papers.

Syllabus: The question papers for the Examination will be based on a common minimum syllabus drawn from syllabi taught in different State Boards. Detailed syllabus is given in the Information Brochure that can b e downloaded from http://aieee.nic.in/aieee2011/aieee/welcome.html

Language of Question paper: Candidates can opt for question papers either in English or in Hindi (that will be bilingual in Hindi & English). The choice has to be exercised while filling Application Form and the same cannot be changed later.

Online Examination and Centres: Examination will also be held online for a maximum of 5000 candidates in a city for BE/B.tech only, on first-come-first-serve basis. The candidates may opt a city of their choice. The cities where online examination facility is provided are as follows. The pattern of question paper & time duration of online examination and offline examination would remain the same. Candidates will be informed by various modes about their center, date & time of online examination. Those desirous of appearing for the online examination should apply online only through the AIEEE website. They should remit the fee by Credit/Debit card only.

Academic Eligibility: Applicant must have passed the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent of any one of the following qualifying examinations with 50% marks for General category and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH category.

(i) The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi

(ii) Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University

(iii) Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy

(iv) Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system

(v) H.S.C. Vocational Examination

(vi) A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects

(vii) 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Subject Combination required at qualifying examination: For admission to the B.E/B.Tech Programmes, applicant should have studied Physics & Mathematics and any one of Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science or Biology. For admission to the B.Arch/B.Planning, applicant should have studied Mathematics and should have secured 50% marks in aggregate at 10 + 2 level

Appearing candidates: Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination can appear for AIEEE 2011 provisionally. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) Examination in 2012 or those who have passed the qualifying examination in 2008 or before are not eligible to appear for AIEEE 2011.

Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination 3 times, in consecutive years. This clause is uniformly applicable to all candidates. Only those who passed +2 examination in 2009, 2010 or those appearing in +2 in 2011 are eligible to appear in AIEEE-2011. Those who passed +2 in 2008 or before or those appearing in 2012 are not eligible to appear in AIEEE-2011.

Date of Birth: Applicant should have been born on or after October 1, 1986. In respect of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years. SC/ST/PH candidates born on or after October 1, 1981 are eligible.

Admit Card: The Admit Card will be sent 'Under Certificate of Posting' about four weeks before the conduct of the examination. The candidate should contact/write to the Board in case he/ she is not in receipt of the Admit Cards by 6th April 2011.

Admission Eligibility:
A citizen of India who has passed B.A/B.Sc. degree examination  of Bangalore University or any University in India or abroad recognized as equivalent through 10+2+3 pattern of  education obtaining 50% of marks in aggregate of all the subjects he/she has  studied for 3 years is  eligible for admission to B.Ed. in English course;

Attendance:
A  student-teacher must have 80% of attendance in each semester in all theory papers and practicum.  Attendance shortage to the  extent of 5% can be condoned by the  university on the  recommendation of the  concerned  Principal of the college  charging with a penalty of Rs. 300/- per  subject in the case of  theory papers and Rs. 300/- in the  case of  shortage of  attendance to the  extent of  5% in teaching practice.
A  student-teacher must   submit  all  assignments 1st   and  2nd   to qualify  himself / herself for appearing for  2nd semester examination.  Those who do  not submit are not  eligible to take-up examinations.
Submission of  assignments,  appearing for  class-tests and  participation in  practical activities conducted by the  college in respect of  core-papers, C.C.M. The All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination, 2011 for admission to the 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS/BDS courses 2011, in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India, as specified in the directive of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi in two stages in April and May 2011.

Preliminary Examination: The first stage of the entrance examination, the Preliminary Examination to be held from 10 am to 1 pm on April 3, 2011 (Sunday), would consist of one paper of 3 hours duration containing 200 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). Each question will be followed by four options with single correct answer which is to marked on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.

Final Examination: The Final Examination for those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination, to be held from 10 am to 1 pm on May 15, 2011 (Sunday), would also consist of one paper of 3 hours duration with 120 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). Each question will have four options with single correct answer, to be marked on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.

Centres of Examination: The Preliminary Examination would be held at Itanagar  (Code-01),Agartala (02), Port Blair (03), Shillong (04), Imphal (05), Panaji (06), Puducherry (07), Guwahati (08), Trivandrum  (09), Cochin  (10), Bhubaneshwar (11), Chennaim(12), Patna (13), Ranchi  (14), Mumbai (15), Nagpur (16), Ahmedabad (17), Shimla (18), Lucknow (19), Noida (20), Dehradun (21), Chandigarh (22), Delhi (23), Kolkata (24), Bangaluru (25), Bhopal (26), Raipur (27) and Jaipur (28). 

The final Examination will be held at Cochin  (51), Bhubaneshwar (52), Chennai (53), Ranchi (54), Mumbai (55), Lucknow  (56), Delhi (57), Kolkata (58), Bhopal (59) and Jaipur (60)

Candidate should select three cities for Preliminary Examination and two city codes for Final Examination.

ELIGIBILITY:
Nationality and Age: Applicant should be an Indian National and should have completed 17 years at the time of admission or should be completing the age on or before 31st December, 2011. Upper age limit will be 25 years as on 31st December, 2011. This would be relaxed by 5 years for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes. So, applicants should have been born on or between 1.1.82 and 1.1.95 in case of SC/ST/OBC Category and on or between 1.1.87 and 1.1.95 in case of all other categories.

Qualifying examinations: Applicant should have passed any one of the following qualifying examinations

(i) Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education

(i) The Intermediate/Pre-Degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and English

(iii) The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical test in these subjects

(iv) The first year of the 3 Year Degree course of a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and further that applicant has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English.

(v) B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that applicant has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English

(vi) Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 2 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology; which shall include practical test in these subjects.) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English.

Appearing candidates: Those taking the qualifying examination prior to the competitive test or those awaiting result may also apply for AIPMT. However, such applicants will not be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of allotment by personal appearance.

Marks requirement: Applicants must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination and in the competitive entrance examination. SC/ST/OBC applicants need only 40% marks for Physics, Chemistry and Biology /Bio-technology together in the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination. For persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum marks would be 45% for General-PH and 40% for SCPH/ST-PH/OBC-PH. Students of Indian Nationality educated abroad seeking admission to Medical colleges in India must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English upto the 12th standard level with 50% marks and their equivalency will be determined as per regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned University.

Reservation: 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates and 27% for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Educational Institutions only as per Hon'ble Supreme Court order dated 10.04.2008. Reservation would be applicable to the castes mentioned in the Central list of OBC. 3% seats are reserved on horizontal basis for PH candidates. The reservation will be made as per 2200 point reservation roster. The mode of implementation of reservation will be available at www.mohfw.nic.in

Submission of Application: A candidate can apply for the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination in the online submission mode or in the .the Offline submission mode.

Online Application Forms: Application can be submitted online at http://aipmt.nic.in/aipmt2011/aipmt/online/instruction.aspx till 5 pm on 31.12.2010. The fee of Rs.700/- (General /OBC)/Rs. 350/- (SC/ST) has to be remitted by Credit card or through Demand Draft drawn in favour of the' Secretary, C.B.S.E., Delhi', on any Nationalized bank, payable at Delhi. Applicant should write the name, address, contact number and Application number on the back of the Demand Draft. After submitting all the required details as per the instructions given at the site, applicants are required to take a print of the Online Application. The print out of the computer generated Application Form should be sent by Speed Post / Regd. Post to reach the Board on or before the last date.

Offline Application Forms: For those desirous of applying offline, the Information Bulletin containing Application Form can be obtained on payment of Rs.800/- (General/OBC)/Rs. 450/- (SC/ST) by cash, from any of the 177 notified branches of Canara Bank listed at http://aipmt.nic.in/aipmt2011/aipmt/BankForSale.pdf from 13.12.2010 to 31.12.2010. Banks will charge Rs. 5/- as Service Charge for the sale of Information Bulletin in addition to the fee.

Last date of Receipt of Application Form: Application Form and the confirmation page in case of online application, along with all the required documents should reach 'The Deputy Secretary (AIPMT Unit), CBSE, Shiksha Kendra, 2, Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi-110 301', by Registered Post/Speed Post only latest by 7.1.2011. Application Form will not be received personally from candidates in any case. A grace time of 15 days will be allowed from the last date of submission of the application to applicants belonging to remote areas, namely Mizoram, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Lahaul and Spiti Districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

Submission of Application with late fee: Application can be submitted online from 10.1.2011 to 17.1.2011 with late fee of Rs.500/-. In such cases, an amount of Rs.1200/- would have to be paid by General/OBC candidates and Rs.850/- by SC/ST candidates as fee which includes the late fee of Rs.500/- through Demand Draft drawn in favour of the' Secretary, C.B.S.E., Delhi', on any Nationalized bank payable at Delhi. The Computer Generated Confirmation Page of these candidates must reach CBSE (The Deputy Secretary (AIPMT Unit), CBSE, Shiksha Kendra, 2, Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi-110 301), on or before 24.1.2011.

Confirmation of receipt of Application Form: Confirmation of the Application Forms received by the Board is likely to be hosted on Board's website within 15 days time from the last date of receipt of the Application Forms. Applicants may check the status of their Application Form at that time. If the status of Application form in respect of any candidate who had sent Application Form through Speed/Registered post is shown as 'form is not received', they may contact the Board latest by 7.2.2011 along with (i) Photocopy of the filled-in Application Form (ii) Original receipt issued by the Post Office for having despatched the Application Form, in case the Application Form is submitted Offline and with (i) Photocopy of the computer generated filled in Application Form (ii) Original receipt issued by the Post Office for having despatched the Application Form (iii) Proof of fee paid (Photocopy of the Demand Draft, if fees remitted through DD/Photocopy of the statement of the Card if fee is paid through Credit Card), in case Application Form is submitted Online. Request for non-receipt of Application Form will not be entertained by CBSE after 7.2.2011.

Admit Card: Admit Card bearing the candidate's roll number, name, Father's name, Category, Sub-Category, photograph, signatures, Date of Birth, language of question paper with name and address of AIPMT centre allotted, will be sent to the candidates by post. Admit card would also be made available on website. Candidate should examine all the entries in the admit card. In case of any discrepancy, the same should immediately be informed to the Board. In case the Admit card for Preliminary Examination is not received by 20th March 2011, candidates should contact the Board between 21.3.2011 and 29.3.2011 only.

In case of Candidates qualifying for the Final Examination, a separate admit card indicating the new roll number and other details will be issued. If the Admit Card is not received by 3rd May 2011, the candidate should contact the Board between 4. 5.2011 and 10. 5.2011.

Declaration of Result: Result of Preliminary Examination will be declared by the 3rd week of April, 2011 and the same will be hosted on Board's website. Candidates qualified for the Final Examination would be issued a separate admit card indicating new roll number and other relevant details. Result of Final Examination will be declared by 1st week of June, 2011 and the same will be hosted on Board's website. Board will prepare the merit list/wait list as per the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, DGHS and MCI. There will be no separate result list of SC/ST candidates. There is no provision for re-cheking/re-evaluation or supply of photo copies of answer sheets for inspection to the candidates. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

Counselling: Couselling will be held by personal appearance through Video-Conferencing with the main counseling venue at New Delhi  (CHEB Building, Aiwan-E-Galib Marg, Kotla Road, Opp. Mata Sundary College for Women, New Delhi-110 002) and at Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai. Candidates should specify their counselling venue at the appropriate place in the Application Form and the same cannot be changed subsequently under any circumstances.
