Eligibility:

(a) Minimum qualification: M.A./M.Sc in Economics/M.Stat./M.Sc. (Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Environmental Science or Operations Research)/M.B.A./M.Tech./M.E./ B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent with at least 55% aggregate marks for Economics discipline and 60% aggregate marks for other disciplines. The applicant must have studied Mathematics at the higher secondary level or should be able to demonstrate equivalent mathematical ability.
(b) The applicants ought to have a minimum of three years of work experience and they need to apply with the `No Objection Certificate' along with leave authorization on the official letterhead of the Organization duly signed by the authorized official of the Organization.
(c) Applicants be preferably below 45 years of age; it can be relaxed in case of exceptional candidates.

Reservation: Reservation of seats for SC/ST/Physically disabled categories will be as per the Government of India rules. Such applicants need not submit any application fee but are required to enclose a copy of the Caste Certificate/Medical certificate (as the case may be) along with their application.

(iv) M.Math [2-year, Bangalore]: Three year Bachelor's Degree or a B.E/B.Tech Degree, with Mathematics and an exceptionally strong background in Analysis and Abstract Algebra or a B.Stat/B.Math Degree from the Indian Statistical Institute. Stipend is Rs. 1200/- per month.

(v) Master of Science (M.S) in Quantitative Economics [2-year, Kolkata & Delhi]: 3-year Bachelor's Degree in Economics / Mathematics / Statistics/ Physics or a B.Stat Degree from the Indian Statistical Institute. Engineering graduates are also eligible. Applicants should have knowledge of Economics and Mathematics at the B.A/B.Sc pass level. Stipend is Rs.1200/- per month.
(vi) Master of Science (M.S) in Library and Information Science [2-year, Bangalore]: Three year Bachelor's Degree in any discipline securing at least 60% marks. Stipen is Rs. 1200/- per month.

(vii) M.Tech in Computer Science [2-year, Kolkata]: (i) Master's Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/ Physics/ Electronic Science/ Computer Science/Computer Applications/ Information Technology or (ii) Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology or any other qualification such as AMIE or GRAD-IETE or DOEACC 'B' Level, considered equivalent. Stipend is Rs. 5000/- per month. Candidates with a valid GATE score above a threshold (to be decided by the Selection Committee) in his/her own subject would be directly called for interview. However, such candidates are also required to apply in the prescribed application form.

Selection of candidates is based on academic record, written tests and interviews conducted by the Institute.  The Selection Test will be conducted in India and abroad on 8th May, 2011.

Due consideration is given to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged candidates for all programmes excluding Junior Research Fellowship programme. Detailed procedures for selection of the candidates who have been offered Junior Research Fellowships by the CSIR/ NBHM are available in the prospectus. Limited hostel facilities are available.

Those who are due to complete the qualifying examinations before 1st July 2011 may also apply.

Applications have been invited for admission to two-year course in M.Sc Wildlife Science (affiliated to the Saurashtra University, Rajkot, Gujarat) commencing from June, 2011 at Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun. Admission to the course is through a National Entrance Test (NET) which is likely to be held on 27th March, 2011. and followed by a Personality Aptitude Test (PAT).

ELIGIBILITY:
1. Bachelor of Science degree with Biological Science as a major subject - Bachelor degree holder in Veterinary,  Forestry, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences are also eligible.
2. Minimum of 15 years of formal education (either 10+2+3 or 11+2+2)
3. Minimum of 55% aggregate marks in B.Sc.

Candidates appearing for final year/semester B.Sc. exam are also eligible to apply, provided they have secured a minimum of 50 % aggregate till second year and on completion of their degree will achieve a minimum of 55% aggregate. Foreign nationals who do not have English as their native language should provide evidence of proficiency in English (TOEFL or IELTS Score) for admission to this course.

AGE LIMIT:

Educational Qualification for admission to MBBS/BDS course:
The candidates must have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system with required subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised school conducting regular classes and situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The candidates must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English separately and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category and 45% marks in case of OBC category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates must have studied 11th and 12th classes regularly from a recognised school situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Female candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Children, Widows & Wives of Armed & Para Military Personnel (CWWAPP category) killed or disabled in action in wars 1947-48 onwards and wards of Ex-servicemen personnel and serving personnel of the Defence/Armed Forces and all Police Forces who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards, who have passed qualifying examination from Indian Boards/Universities or Foreign Boards/Universities may also apply for admission to Lady Hardinge Medical College (only) on the basis of their merit in the DUMET-2011. The condition of studying 11th and 12th class from a school situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall not be applicable to these candidates.
