Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test -2011 admission to B.Arch. Courses

Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Rajasthan Domicile, out of Rajasthan Domicile and the wards of Kashmiri Migrants for admission to 1st year of B. Arch courses.

Eligibility
The Council of Architecture has laid down the following academic qualifications for admission to 1st year of B. Arch courses:

a. 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with Mathematics as a subject of study by securing 50% marks in aggregate. OR

b. 10+3 diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Govt. with 50% aggregate marks. OR

c. International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

For the candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories, the eligibility of aggregate marks is 45% marks in the above mentioned examinations. In addition to this, other benefits as provided by the Govt. of India and respective State Govt. to the SC, ST, OBC, Women, Economically Backward, Ex-Serviceman, Physically Handicapped students as applicable to them for pursuing the B. Arch. Degree course would also to be extended.

All admissions to B.Arch. degree courses shall be subject to passing of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture (COA). The minimum pass score for NATA is 80 out of 200 for all categories of candidates. There is no relaxation in the minimum pass score of NATA to any category of candidate.

Age Limit : Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1986 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1981 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary School mark sheet / certificate will only be taken as authentic.

Eligibility
(a) Nationality: A candidate must either be : (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya. Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will, however, not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

(b) AGE LIMIT: (For NCC candidates (including wards of Battle casualties): 19 to 25 years (not born earlier than 02 Jan 87 and not later than 01 Jan. 93).

(c) The criteria of NCC ‘C' Certificate holders to appear directly for SSB for Short Service Course (Non Technical) at Officers Training Academy, Chennai:

(i) Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years.

(ii) Service in NCC : Should have served for minimum two academic years in the senior Division / Wing of N.C.C. (iii) Grading: Should have obtained minimum of ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC.

How To Apply
(a) Apply on plain paper as per the format given in the advertisement, duly typed.

(b) Applications should be posted to the nearest OC, NCC Unit from where NCC ‘C’ certificate has been issued.

(c) Applications of Candidates sewing in the Armed Forces duly
counter-signed by Commanding Officer should be sent to the OC, NCC Unit from where NCC' ‘C’ certificate has been issued and advance copy be sent direct to DG NCC West Block- IV, RK Puram, New Delhi-11 0066.

(d) All NCC Units will forward the applications to DDG, NCC of the concerned State

(e) Additional Directorate General of Recruiting (Rtg 6), Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army), reserves the right to shortlist applications on the basis of grade obtained by the candidates in NCC ‘C’ certificate examination/percentage of marks in degree examinations.

(f) DDG, NCC States will process all applications and forward them to Dfe Gen NCC. Special emphasis will be laid on the following points: —

(i) Check date of birth from class X Certificate, (ii) Check Degree/ Provisional degree is from a University recognized by AIU. (iii) Check marks sheets of all years and ensure that candidate has minimum 50% marks in the aggregate for all three years (iv) Check NCC ‘C’ Certificate with minimum ‘B’ Grading.

METHOD OF SELECTION:
(a) All applications as per format given are to be forwarded to Rtg. Directorate (NCC Entry) through HQ DG NCC. The NCC Units/Gp HQs will forward the applications to State Directorates who in turn will forward the same to HQ. DG NCC. (b) Thorough screening / Shortlisting of applications based on qualifications of the candidates will be carried out by the NCC Directorates and HQ DG NCC. (c) Candidates not in receipt of call letter from any of the Selection Centres for SSB interview should presume that either their applications have been received after due date or have been found ineligible or rejected during short- listing. No correspondence in this regard
will be entertained. Candidates after shortlisting will be detailed for SSB interview by Additional Directorate General of Recruiting. The decision of Headquarter DG NCC and Addl. Dit Gen Rtg in Army HQ, in the matter of Shortlisting and forwarding of applications to SSBs will be final

(d) On arrival at the Selection Centre the candidates will be administered stage-l of the two stage testing procedure. Candidates failing in stage-I will be Sent back on the same day and those who qualify will be detained to undergo Group Tests, Psychological Tests and Interview which will extend for a duration of 5 days.

(e) Candidates recommended by SSBs will be required to go through Medical Exam. Candidates who are found medically fit will be placed in order of merit as per the marks obtained in SSB interview amongst the recommended candidates. Boarding and lodging during interviews at
SSBs are free. Recommendation by SSB confers no right of admission to the Officers Training Academy. The final selection will be made as per the order of merit subject to medical fitness and suitability in all other respects and number of vacancies available.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION: Candidates recommended by the Service Selection Board will undergo medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers. Women candidates recommended by Service Selection Board will undergo medical examination by a medical board of male / female doctors / Specialists/Gynecologist. However, there will be a Lady Medical Officer as member the Medical Board for female candidates. Only those candidates will be admitted to the Academy who are declared fit by the Special Medical Board. However, the candidates declared unfit will be intimated by the President of the Special Medical Board and procedure for request for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) will also be intimated to the candidates. Candidates who are unfit may apply for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) to be completed within 42 days of SMB and may request for Review Medical Board (RMB) within 1 day of completion of Appeal Medical Board. Candidates for AMB shall automatically report to the hospital opted by them on any working day, keeping in view the time taken by postal authorities to deliver their Medical documents at the Hospital for medical examination. No call shall be given by the opted hospital and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. Candidates are advised in their own interest to appear for AMB well in time and should not wait for the last date given by the SMB.

Candidates are advised to note that Recruiting Directorate has no role to play in Appeal Medical Boards; the procedure advised by medical authorities is strictly to be adhered to.

The candidates will also be intimated that Review Medical Board (RMB) will be granted at the discretion of DGAFMS based on the merits of the case and that RMB is not a matter of right. Candidates will only be considered medically fit on receipt of the approved medical board proceedings from concerned medical authorities in Addl Dte Gen Rtg. 6. ln their own interest the candidates are advised to undergo a preliminary medical check-up for wax in ears, refractory error of eyes and fungal infection of skin before reporting for the SSB interview.

(a) Relaxation In Height: The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. For Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North Eastern region of India, Garhwal and Kumanon, the minimum acceptable
height will be 5 cms less. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms.

(b) VISUAL STANDARDS: (i) The minimum acceptable visual acuity are: Distant Vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse eye 6/18, myopia of not more than minus 3.50 for men and 5.50 for womens including astigmatism. (ii) Candidates who have undergone or have the evidence of having undergone Radial Keratotomy to improve the visual acuity, will be permanently rejected; also candidates aged 20 years or above who have undergone Laser Surgery for correction of refractive error will be considered for commission in Army if they fulfill following criteria :•

(i) Uncomplicated stable LASIK/Excimer (PRK) laser procedure done for. Myopia or Hypermetropia, with stable refraction for a period of six months after the procedure.

(ii) A healthy retina.

(iii) Corrected vision should be 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in worse eye, with maximum residual refraction of : (+/-) 1.50 in any meridian for myopia or hypermetropia.

(iv) Axial length within permissible limits.

The Kerala Veterinary And Animal Sciences University is inviting to pursue a variety of courses at its three campuses, one at Pookod in Wayanad and two at Mannuthy in Thrissur.

Now is the time to apply for these job-oriented courses.

The new Masters courses being launched from 2011-12 are Master of Science in Biostatistics, Master of Science in Quality Systems in Dairy Processing and Master of Science in Wildlife Studies.

The new Diploma courses are Diploma in Poultry Production, Diploma in Laboratory Techniques and Diploma in Dairy Science.

The Certificate courses are Certificate in Capacity Building for Livestock Technology Enterprise and Certificate Course in Wildlife Management.

These courses are apart from the existing BVSc and AH course and BTech (Dairy Science and Technology) courses being offered by the varsity. The university also runs Master of Veterinary Science course (MVSc) and PhD in various disciplines.

A fixed number of candidates admitted for Master's and PhD degree programmes are eligible for assistanship, said the Vice-Chancellor. The Assistanceship for Master's programme is at the rate of Rs 10,000/- per month and PhD at the rate of Rs 20,000/- per month. The eligibility for assistanceship shall be decided based on the marklist prepared for admission.

All the students admitted to Master's and PhD programmes are eligible to get a scholarship amount of Rs 4,000/- and Rs 5000/- per month respectively.

Admission to First Year of Four Year Degree Courses in Engineering/ Technology for the Year 2011-12.

Eligibility
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics AND Secured minimum 45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 40% marks i.e. not less than 120 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.

All those candidates who are now eligible due to change in eligibility are required to submit and confirm the online application form at ARC as per the schedule notified herewith. Those candidates who were not eligible and submitted and confirmed the online application form and now become eligible due to change in eligibility are required to take the fresh Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement from the concern ARC.

All those candidate who failed to submit any of the supporting documents are now allowed to submit the same at respective ARC during the grievances periods i.e. between 6th July 2011 to 8th July 2011.

How To Apply
The separate “Online Option Form” for Centralize Admission Process for Autonomous Institutes (CAPAI) for Autonomous Engineering Institutes viz. VJTI, Mumbai; COE Pune; SGGS IE&T, Nanded; WCE, Sangli and SPCE, Mumbai and Centralized Admission Process (CAP ) for State Government/Aided Colleges, University Managed Institutes, University Departments and such unaided colleges and/or such number of seats from unaided colleges which by mutual consent have decided to form part of this admission process is being made available to only those eligible candidates, who are desirous of seeking admission to the aforesaid colleges through this Centralised Admission Process on the official websites viz. www.dte.org.in/fe2011 .

Aspiring candidates are required to fill in the Online Option Form, take the printout of the Online Option Form and Confirm the Online Option form in person along with duly signed printout of the Online Option form at any of the Application Form Receipt Center (ARC) notified by this Directorate as per schedule notified herewith.

Option form received by post at ARC/DTE office will be rejected and no communication will be done with the candidate.

Note:
1. It is MANDATORY for all eligible aspiring Maharashtra State, AIEEE-2011 (Paper-1) qualified candidates to submit and confirm Online Option Form.
2. Maharashtra State Candidates applying for Maharashtra and All India Seats are required to submit and confirm only Single Online Option Form
3. Maharashtra State Candidate applying for CAPAI and CAP are required to submit and confirm separate option form for CAPAI and CAP.

Educational Qualification: (Ph.D. Full-time and Part-Time):
(a) Candidates who have studied under 10+2 pattern of education and qualified for the Master’s Degree in the concerned Subject and Degree of Master of Science of three-year duration in the School/Faculty of Medicine of this University or of any other University recognized by this University securing a minimum of 50% marks (or equivalent grade).

(b) Candidates of Indian origin or overseas students who have qualified for a Master’s Degree of an accredited Overseas University securing a minimum of 50% marks (or equivalent grade).

Experience Required (Ph.D Part time - Internal):
(a) Teacher candidates working in College/University departments and such other Institutions recognized by SBV with at least one year of continuous teaching experience at Degree and /or post -graduate level in the subject concerned.

(b) Candidates under the regulations of part -time (Internal) shall be required to work in a department approved for research by this University while the Guide/Supervisor may or may not be working in the same department.
Interdisciplinary research for such part -time internal candidates shall be allowed only with the approval of the Chairperson of the Academic Council.

(c) Non-teaching staff employed in a time scale of pay in this University and other affiliated research Institutions provided that(i)the candidate has at least 10 years of work experience of which at least two years should be relevant to the field of research proof which is to be evidenced through two research papers published in standard journals OR (ii)the candidates has at least 5 years of work experience with M.Phil.in the subject concerned and published two research papers in standard journals in the subject concerned.

Experience Required (Ph.D Part time - External):
(a) Permanent academic staff of college/Universities/other educational Institutions of higher learning/Research & Development Laboratories and organizations with at least two years of continuous teaching /research experience.

(b) Technocrats, Scientists, Social Scientists & Scholars and Administrators with at least 10 years of experience in India or abroad and Educational qualifications as prescribed for Ph.D. full-time and Part-time programme, having sufficient exposure in research &development and generated useful data/patent/knowledge as evidenced by their contributions in their respective areas of research.

(c) A candidate possessing a master’s degree from an accredited overseas university and who is residing abroad or working abroad in a university/industry may also apply.

Applications have been invited by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations for the Entrance Examination for admission to Integrated Five Year LL.B Course-2011 in the Government Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode.

Eligibility for Admission:

(i) Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen.

(ii) Academic qualifications: Applicant should have passed 10+2 Higher Secondary course of recognized by the Educational Authority of the Central or State Government OR possesses such academic qualifications which are considered equivalent to such 10 + 2 course by the Bar Council of India, with a minimum of 45% marks. Candidates seeking admission under SC/ST category should have passed the qualifying examination with 40% marks. Candidates who are appearing /have appeared for the qualifying examination this year are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination subject to the condition that they should produce the Pass Certificate and Mark Lists of the qualifying examination at the time of Admission.

(iii) Age: The applicant should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2011. There is no upper age limit.

(iv) Qualifying standards in the Entrance Examination: To qualify in the rank list for admission to Integrated Five year LL.B course, a General/SEBC applicant should get a minimum of 25% of total marks in the Entrance Examination and a candidate belonging to SC/ST category should get a minimum of 20% of total marks out of 600 in the Entrance Examination.

Entrance Examination: The Entrance Examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode on 31.07.2011 (Sunday). It will be of 3 hours duration and will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions. The Questions will cover General Knowledge, English and Aptitude for Legal Studies.

How and When to Apply:

Candidates seeking admission to the course can apply online through the web site www.cee-kerala.org of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. There will be separate link for General, SEBC and SC/ST candidates. The site will be opened for online registration from 06.07.2011 to 18.07.2011, 5 p.m.

Application Fee: For General and SEBC candidates, the application fee is Rs.600/(Rupees Six Hundred Only) and for SC/ST Candidates the application fee is Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only).The required fee can be remitted at any branch of the State bank of Travancore using the Bank Chalan which is available in the online application print out. The original Chalan should be attached with the application form duly signed and authorized by Bank authorities on remittance of application fees. Candidates outside Kerala State can remit the application fee by attaching a Demand Draft for the requisite amount drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application forms: Candidates should take the printout of the online application and fix a passport size photograph same as the one which is uploaded, in the space provided. The photograph should be attested by the candidate and forward the same with all the required documents to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001, either by Registered post or by hand delivery on or before 5 pm on 18.11.2011.

Institution wise Allotment:

Candidates need not submit their preference for Institutions in the application form.

Candidates will not be allowed to include any additional information in the application form or to submit any certificates/documents claiming reservation or any benefits, after the submission of the application, under any circumstances.

Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, GV Raja Road, Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram, has invited applications for admission to Residual seats of B.Sc Hospitality & Hotel Administration Program Academic Session 2011-12.

Eligibility
- Minimum qualification - Pass in the examination of 10+2 system of Senior Secondary education (any stream) or its equivalent with English as one of the compulsory subjects from any recognized Board of Examinations.
- Upper age limit for candidates from General and OBC categories (central list, non-creamy layer) is 22 years as on 01.07.2011 and for SC/ST candidates, upper age limit is 25 years as on 01.07.2011.
- Candidates from the JEE list, who have not earlier been allotted any seat or who have been allotted seat but could not pay the fees can also apply on the basis of the marks of 10+2 or equivalent exam and not on the basis of rank in the JEE-2011.

Process for Registration
Eligible candidates may download the Application Form ‘A’ from www.ihmctkovalam.org and forward scanned copy of the filled application form along with scanned copies of 10th mark-sheet and 10+2 (or equivalent) mark-sheet on principal@ihmctkovalam.org for registration of candidates till 11th July 2011.

Selection of candidates

Selection of candidates shall be strictly based on the marks obtained by the candidates in 10+2 or equivalent examination and not based on AIR or JEE-2011. The merit list drawn based on the marks obtained in English and 4 subjects that will be reckoned for the purpose of finalizing the inter-se merit list.
