Criteria for admission:
Pass in 10+2 / 12th examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2012 or 2011 subject to securing the following percentage of marks in specified subjects.
BTech (except Biotechnology) Programs: A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and 1st Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination in single attempt.
BTech in Biotechnology: A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry or Biology, Physics & Chemistry and 1st Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination in single attempt.
Candidates who are appearing for 10+2 / 12th examination in 2012 or who passed 10+2 / 12th examination in 2011 only are eligible. Students who passed 10+2 / 12th examination in 2010 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear for GAT (UGT) 2012.
(ii) 5 Year Dual Degree (BTech + MTech)

FPT: BTech Bio-Technology / Food Technology / Chemical Engineering / BPharm and MSc in Chemistry / Food Science with proficiency in Basic Biology and Bio-Technology or MSC in any area of Biological Science with Proficiency in Basic Mathematics.

(a) Union Bank of India and (b) Indian Bank.
(3) Applications can be obtained by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate's name with complete mailing address accompanied by DD for Rs. 1,100/- (Rs. 700/- for female candiddates) drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank. Request by post will be accepted till 5th March, 2012.
The filled-in application along with the DD for Rs. 1,000/- (Rs.600/- for female candidates), drawn in favour of GITAM UNIVERSITY, payable at Visakhapatnam from any scheduled bank, should be sent to the Director-Admissions, GITAM UNIVERSITY, Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam-530 045, A.P.
