In addition, seminar courses are offered in topics of contemporary relevance. Orientation courses are offered in specific courses according to the concerned faculty teaching requirements in that particular course. Orientation and core courses are common to all students.

The concept of credits is used to define the weightage of a course in the curriculum. The courses have credits ranging from 1 to 3, depending on the coverage of topics. One credit connotes 10 classroom contact hours. Thus, a two-credit course involves 20 classroom contact hours and a three-credit course involves 30 classroom contact hours.
