Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the degree of Master of Technology in Nanotechnology (Biomedical Stream or Technology Stream) or for the Master of Technology in Molecular Medicine. 

Requirements for M.Tech in Nanotechnology: Biomedical stream: Masters degree in science (Physics, Chemistry, Materials, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Zoology) or Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics, Biomedical, Biotechnology, etc), MBBS or BDS or BPharm with at least 60% marks (or equivalent). Technology stream: Masters degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or a B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Materials Science with at least 60% marks (or equivalent). 

Requirements for M.Tech. in Molecular Medicine: Masters degree in any discipline of the Life Sciences, B.Tech Biotechnology, BPharm, MBBS or BDS with at least 60% marks (or equivalent). 

About the Program: The M.Tech. in Nanotechnology has been a successful program for the last three years with 100% placement and hands-on research experience in cutting-edge technologies and state-of-the-art facilities that are some of the best in the country. The M..Tech. in Nanotechnology has two streams: Biomedical stream with a focus on biomedical nanotechnologies and technology stream with a focus on electronic and electrochemical technologies and solar cells. M.Tech. in Molecular Medicine is a successful program that began last year and focuses on molecular tools and technologies for diagnostics and therapy at the molecular level. 

Intake: 30 students in Nanotechnology (20 in Biomedical Stream and 10 in Technology Stream) and 10 students in Molecular Medicine.

Scholarships: Total of 32 students will be fully supported by scholarships from the Department of Science and Technology and from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the Government of India.. 

The Director of the Centre for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine is Professor Shantikumar Nair who received the prestigious 2011 National Research Award in Nanoscience and Technology from the Government of India.
