Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune has invited applications for admission to the MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS Programmes offered at the constituent colleges of the University, for 2012-13.

MBBS is offered at Medical College, Pune (150 seats) and Medical College & Hospital, Sangli (100).

BDS is offered at Dental College and Hospital, Pune (100), Dental College and Hospital, Navi Mumbai (100) and Dental College and Hospital, Sangli (100). For BAMS there are 100 seats at Ayurved College & Hospital, Pune and for BHMS, there are 100 seats at Homoeopathic College & Hospital, Pune.

Selection to the Programmes will be based on merit in the All India Common Entrance Test (CET - 2012) to be conducted by the University on 20th May 2012 from 11 am to 2 pm at Pune, Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Vadodara (Baroda), Indore, Bangalore, Lucknow, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Alahabad and Varanasi. The exact location and address of the examination centre of the individual candidate will be communicated to the candidate through his admission card.

CET-2012 will consist of one question paper, to be set in English medium. It will contain 200 multiple choice objective-type questions, 50 each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. The detailed syllabus is available in the Brochure given at http://bvuniversity.edu.in/. Each correct answer will get one mark. There is no negative marking. Applicant should be an Indian national, born on or before 1st January 1996. (Applicant should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December, 2012)

Applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (H.S.C.) or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2/HSC examination of any recognised Board/ University from any school/college situated in India after 12 years of study.

For admission to MBBS/BDS courses, applicant should have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained at least 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination (10 + 2/HSC or equivalent) and should also secure at least 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at CET-2012. Those belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes should have obtained at least 40 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination as well as at CET-2012.

Those seeking admission to B.A.M.S. course should have passed 10 + 2/HSC or equivalent examination in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology individually and must have obtained at least 50 per cent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (40 per cent in case of SC/ST students).

Those seeking admission to B.H.M.S. course should have passed 10 +2/HSC or equivalent examination in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually, and must have obtained at least 50 per cent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (40 per cent in case of SC/ST students). However, if any seats remain vacant in BHMS course, those having qualifications as prescribed in Central Council of Homeopathy (C.C.H.) as minimum qualification will also be considered eligible for admission. The minimum qualification for admission as prescribed by C.C.H is a pass in 12th Std. (HSC or equivalent examination) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as his subjects

Those who are likely to appear or who have appeared for qualifying examination (10+2/H.S.C. or equivalent) but whose results have not been declared can also appear for CET-2012, provided they have offered the above mentioned subjects at the said examinations.

Those who fail to fulfil the relevant eligibility requirements as mentioned above will not be considered eligible for admission to any of these courses, even if placed in the merit list of the CET-2012. 

The CET Fee is Rs.2200/-  Application can be submitted online at http://www.bharatividyapeethuniversity.net/.

Applicant will have to first decide on the mode of payment of the Entrance Examination Fees of Rs.2200/-, which may be paid by way of Demand Draft(DD) or through Payment Gateway using Credit/Debit Master/ Visa cards. The option has to be chosen to proceed with the Registration. In case of DD Option, the DD has to be obtained before filling the online application.

Instructions for filling the online form are available at the site. After all necessary details are entered, the system will display the preview of the completed form in read only mode. For any corrections, applicant may use ‘previous’ button to go to appropriate screen and make corrections. Finally if the applicant is satisfied with the information entered, applicant may click the submit button through preview mode. Now the filled form in PDF format will be generated. Applicant must take the print out of this form, paste a photograph and make a signature at appropriate place provided in the form.

Those who have opted ‘Demand Draft’ as the payment mode, should write the form No, Course Name, Candidate Name and Contact No on the back side of the Demand Draft and attach it to the form, put it in envelope and send it to ‘Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University ‘CET Online Department’, 2nd Floor, Bharati Bhavan, LBS Road, Navi Peth, Pune 411 030’ to reach there latest by 5 pm on 9th May, 2012.

Those opting for Gateway Mode of payment hould not send the form to the University but should carry the form to the examination hall along with 2 passport size photographs and submit the same to the invigilator.

Once the form is received by the office we will process the same and send e-mail containing the admit card and a soft copy of the brochure to the e-mail address provided by the candidate in the application form. A separate print copy of Admit Card will also be mailed to the applicant by post.

The results will be declared at www.bvuniversity.edu.in and www.bharatividyapeethuniversity.net by 5 pm on 11th June 2012. Counselling commences on 25th June 2012 and will extend to 4th July 2012.

The Fee for the various courses is as follows.

M.B.B.S: Medical College, Pune- Rs. 5,25,000/-; Medical College, Sangli-Rs. 4,50,000/- 
B.D.S: Dental College &Hospital, Pune- Rs.2,60,000/-; Dental College & Hospital, Navi Mumbai- Rs.2,60,000/-; Dental College & Hospital, Sangli- Rs.1,60,000/- 
B.A.M.S: College of Ayurved, Pune- Rs. 1,65,000/- 
B.H.M.S: Homoeopathic Medical College, Pune- Rs. 85,000/-
15% percent seats of the intake capacity, in each college and in each course are reserved for Foreign/NRI(Non-Resident-Indian)/P.I.O. category o f students.

Candidates seeking admissions to these seats will have to submit an application to The Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune. The last date for submission of form to this category is 9th May 2012 before 5.00 p.m. Seats remaining vacant after allotment to Foreign / N.R.I. /P.I.O. category will be allotted to Indian students under regular category by merit, based on the marks obtained by them in the CET-2012.
