Applications are invited for admission to the following Five Year Integrated MA/MA/MSc/MBA/M.Tech Programmes through (CUJET-2012)

Mass Communition, Business Administration, English, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Applied chemistry, Life Sciences, Nanotechnology, Water Engineering and Management Energy Engineering, Indigenous cultural Studies, Far east Languages (Korean Language, Chinese Language, tibetan Language), International Relations, Enviornmental Sciences.

The Central University of Jharkhand shall conduct Central University of Jharkhand Entrance Test (CUJET) for the 5 year Integrated Post-Graduate Programs, on 6th May, 2012 for admission to various Courses as given hereunder for the Session 2012-13. Admissions will be made according to merit index comprising of marks obtained in entrance test (70% weightage) and academic (30% weightage), subject to fulfilling of eligibility requirements mentioned below:

Courses of Study, Minimum Eligibility Requirements, Duration of Course and Number of seats:
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2) can also apply for the CUJET 2012, however, in such case they are required to submit the 10+2 marks within 5 days of declaration of their result by respective boards and mark sheet and certificates on the day of counseling for admission.

NOTE: Candidates are advised to read the minimum eligibility requirements and relaxation in minimum eligibility for Scheduled Castes (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Migrated Kashmiri candidates.

AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July’ 2012 (applicant should be born on or after 1st July of 1990).

5Yr. Integrated M. Tech. Water Engineering and Management
5Yr. Integrated M.Tech. Energy Engineering

Duration:10 Semesters (5 Years)
Number of Seats: 40
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
having 55% marks in aggregate.

5Yr. Integrated M.Sc. Environmental Science

Duration:10 Semesters (5 Years)
Number of Seats: 40
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent Examination with Science stream having 55% marks in aggregate.


RELAXATION IN MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY FOR SCHEDULED CASTES (SC), SCHEDULED TRIBES (ST) AND MIGRATED KASHMIRI CANDIDATES
In the case of SC/ST candidates, for all the above courses there will be relaxation of 5% in minimum percentage of marks in the aggregate.
10% relaxation for Kashmiri Migrants will be given for deciding minimum eligibility conditions.

NOTES RELATING MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT
Marks sheet/Certificates recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) shall only be deemed as equivalent.

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Prospectus of Studies regarding the Courses in which admission is made through Entrance Test, the eligibility requirements for the purpose of admission shall be only those which are mentioned in the Information Bulletin of the academic session concerned.

Application Forms of candidates who submitted forged/fake certificates or adopted fraudulent means shall be REJECTED. Further, such candidates shall be debarred from appearing in any subsequent Entrance Tests conducted by University.

Candidates are allowed to appear at the Entrance Tests provisionally subject to the final verification of Mark sheets/ Certificates, validity of Certificates/Mark sheets of Qualifying Examination and also of non-involvement in the adoption of unfair means in any of the University Examination/Entrance Tests held earlier, at the time of admission.

Mere appearance in the Entrance Test or securing pass marks at the CUJET does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission to the Course unless he/she fulfills the eligibility conditions. APPLICANTS MUST FULLY SATISFY THEMSELVES ABOUT THEIR ELIGIBILITY AS PRESCRIBED ABOVE, BEFORE FILLING IN THE APPLICATION FORM.

If an applicant is inadvertently allowed to appear at the Entrance Test who otherwise does not fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements, he/she cannot, at a later date, use that as a right to claim that he/she meets the eligibility requirements.
The University reserves the right to cancel/refuse admission at any point of time if it is found that:
(i) Minimum eligibility requirements are not fulfilled.
(ii) False documentation has been done, or, facts have been suppressed.
(iii) Any other similar valid reason.
Candidates admitted to any Course in this University shall not be eligible to pursue simultaneously any other full-time Course in this or in any other University/Institution.

MERIT INDEX FOR ADMISSION :
Final Merit index for admission of candidates will be made by combining marks obtained in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and academics (30% Weightage).

Sports Quota:
5% relaxation in the final merit index shall be given for such candidates, provided that they fulfill minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates shall be considered for Sports quota only if they have played national/State (senior/junior/sub junior/youth/school games federation of India) at least up to qualifying examination without any break of participation.


ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FEE:
Hard copy (print-out) application form should be attached with a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) for General & OBC Candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST candidates (PC candidates are exempted from application fees) in favour of Registrar, Central University of Jharkhand payable at Ranchi.

A Candidate can opt for a maximum of two courses for the entrance examination. The fee payable for two courses would be Rs. 1000/- for General & OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates. If a candidate chooses two courses but attaches payment only for one course, he/she will be allowed to appear only for the exam of first choice.

IMPORTANT DATES REGARDING SALE AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS

ENTRANCE TEST CENTRES:
The Test will be held at the following Centers, provided there are sufficient number of candidates for the concerned Centre:
Bangalore Bhubaneswar Chennai Dhanbad Guwahati Jammu Jamshedpur Kolkata New Delhi Patna Pune Ranchi

The University reserves the right to cancel any of the Centres except Ranchi without assigning any reason. The candidate in such a case shall be allotted another Centre near to their original choice. Visually challenged candidates will be allotted Ranchi Centre only.


INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THE APPLICATION FORM:
The Application Form is required to be filled by the candidate in CAPITAL letters except signature and address using either ink or ball point pen in HIS/HER OWN HAND WRITING (Forms filled in by pencil will not be accepted). Where information is required to be filled in boxes, only one alphabet is to be written in each box.
While writing names in capital letters, leave one box blank between first and middle name and also between middle and last name or initials of names. Your Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name and Date of Birth in the Application Form should be exactly the same as mentioned in the High School/Class X certificate. Any discrepancy, whenever discovered, may lead to cancellation of your candidature.

Photograph: Paste your recent color photograph inside the box given for the purpose. Keep sufficient number of extra copies of the same photograph (at least 8 numbers) for future use in case you are admitted. The photograph should be the most recent showing the latest appearance and should show frontal view of full face against a light background. The eyes and the ears should be visible. Photos taken with coloured or dark glasses are not acceptable.

Description of "Bank Demand Draft": Write Name and Address on back of DD by the pencil only. Kindly keep a copy of DD with you.


LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO BE ENCLOSED WITH THE APPLICATION FORM:
I. An applicant must enclose the following documents with his/her Application Form:
(i) Demand Draft / Banker’s cheque for the prescribed Entrance Test Fee.
(ii) Certificate(s) in support of the category claimed for reservation in the application form:
(a) Self-attested copy of Caste Certificate from the competent authority. (for SC/ST/OBC/ OBCMinorities category candidates only)
(b) Self-attested certificate from Chief Medical Officer of a District. (for Physically Challenged candidates only)
(c) Self-attested copy of certificate(s) in support of 'Sports Seats' (if claimed for 'Sports Seats').
(iii) Application Form
(iv) Self-attested copies of 10th and +2 Mark-sheet/ Certificate. If candidate is appearing in the qualifying exam a certificate from the principal of concerned school or a copy of admit card should be attached.

ADMIT CARD :
Students appearing for CUJET 2012 may print there admit cards from University website www.cuj.ac.in .
Starting from 30th April, 2012 onwards.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The admission of a candidate in a course will be done only when he/she satisfies all the eligibility requirements, appears in the CUJET, qualifies in the Merit index and completes all formalities required for admission in the course. The admission process will begin soon after the declaration of merit list for admission.


HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION: All efforts will be made to provide hostel accommodation in the University hostels to desiring candidates, however, the hostel accommodation is not guaranteed.

Any litigation in respect of the CUJET shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the local Court of Ranchi and/or Hon’ble High Court of Jharkhand at Ranchi only.
