Medical Education
MIOT gives high priority to Academic Programmes, Medical and Paramedical education. MIOT is approved by the National Board of Examination, which is the foremost institution, established by the Govt. of India to maintain uniform standards in Post Graduate Medical education in our country.

A) MIOT Academy of Allied Health Science: 
The MIOT Academy of Allied Health Science offers a large number of career oriented technological programmes which are at once intellectually satisfying and practically stimulating, for they provide hands-on experience in many fields of medical, paramedical, bio-technological and other branches of health sciences. Talented, meritorious and ambitious Std. XII students, science degree holders, serious researchers and scientists will find these courses to be of immense value and on successful completion; they will receive recognized degrees from the university.

The combination of a team of internationally renowned professors as teaching staff and the unique curricula developed in the fields of medical, paramedical and medical biotechnology has led to its affiliation with universities such as The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. University (Chennai).

B) Post Graduate Medical Courses 
MIOT offers DNB courses in Orthopaedic Surgery, Anaesthesia and Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. MIOT is one of the three centres in India, which has been approved by the National Board for Post Doctoral Fellowship in Spine Surgery. Our Centre is also recognised for Post Doctoral Fellowship in Trauma Care. We have plans to start DNB courses in Cardiology, General Medicine and Radio Diagnosis.

C) Nursing Courses
At MIOT we pay prime attention to nursing education. We have a School and a College of Nursing. Our students graduate with excellent ranking and we are able to maintain the same standards every year. Our future plans include commencing post basic B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing courses.

D) Paramedical Courses
We also conduct Paramedical education programmes like PG Diploma courses in Medical Laboratory Technology, Radiology and Imaging Sciences. Diploma Courses in CT and MRI Scan Technology and Operation Theatre Technology are also conducted.

RESEARCH
Can stem cells grow back damaged nerves, cartilages, heart valves? To stay at the forefront of this dynamic field MIOT has joined hands with the Division of Regenerative Medicine, University Hospital, Zurich for vital research on how stem cells can be engineered to form vital tissues and valves.

MIOT Institute of Research
MIOT Institute of Research was established in August 2007 to explore the potential of Stem Cell Research. MIR is focusing on Stem Cell Therapy – to create compatible specific cells from stem cells, which can replace cells and tissue damaged by injury, aging, or disease.
