Eligibility criteria
B. Tech/Integrated M.B.A. (Tech.)/Integrated (B.Tech.+M.Tech.) programmes:
A pass in 10+2 examinations of CBSE or its equivalent of any Board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology and adequate proficiency in English.
Admission will be based on All India Rank (Overall) of AIEEE – 2012/ State Level Engineering Entrance Test / MITS Engineering Entrance Test (MEET 2012).
M. Tech programmes:
1. M. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering: B.E. / B. Tech. / M.Sc. / M.C.A. or an equivalent Degree in related field with at least 50% marks in aggregate with adequate proficiency in English.
2. M. Tech. in Nano Science & Technology: B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Chemical/ Computer Science & Engg. or M. Sc Physics/Chemistry (with Mathematics up to at least Bachelor’s level) with at least 50% marks in aggregate with adequate proficiency in English.
3. M. Tech in Nuclear Science & Technology: B. E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Chemical/ Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Metallurgical Engineering or M.Sc. Physics/ Electronics/ Chemistry with at least 50% marks in aggregate with adequate proficiency in English. Candidates with M. Sc. degree should have Mathematics as a subject for at least two years/ four semesters in their undergraduate degree.
4. M. Tech in Signal Processing and VLSI Design: B.E. / B. Tech./M.Sc. or an equivalent Degree in related field with at least 50% marks in aggregate with adequate proficiency in English.
In all the above 2-year M. Tech programmes, final selection will be made on the basis of a written test and interview. GATE qualified candidates will be preferred and are not required to appear for the written test.
5. Integrated M. Tech in Nuclear Science & Technology (3 Years): Bachelor’s degree in Science with First division or 60% marks or equivalent grade having Physics and Mathematics as a subject for at least two years/four semesters. The candidates should have adequate proficiency in English. Final Selection will be made on the basis of a written test and an interview. JAM (Physics) – 2012 qualified candidates will be preferred and are not required to appear for the written test.
MCA Programme:
Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate and Mathematics up to at least 10+2 level are eligible to apply.
Admission will be based on performance in MITS M.C.A. Entrance Test (MMET 2012)/ any State Level Entrance Test. For MCA
