5 year BA, BL (Hons.) and 3 year BL (Hons.) Degree Admission Notice 2012-2013
Applications have been invited from the eligible candidates for admission into 5 year BA, BL (Hons.) and 3 year BL (Hons.) Degree Courses [Regular] offered in the School of Excellence in Law [SOEL], ML Programmes offered in the PG Departments and PG Diploma & Certificate courses in Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University Campus, Chennai -28 and also for admission into 5 year BA, BL and 3 year BL Courses offered in affiliated Government Law Colleges in Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Thirunelveli, Chengalpattu and 3 year BL Courses in Vellore respectively.
Courses and Eligibility:
(i) UG Programmes of School of Excellence in Law [SOEL]:
a) 5 Year BA, BL (Hons.) Degree Course: HSc, (10+2) / CBSE / Other equivalent Examination recognized as equivalent thereto (General Category - 70% and SC / ST - 60%)
b) 3 year BL (Hons.) Degree Course: Any Degree Viz., BA / BSc / BCom / BBA / BE / MBBS / BPharm / Other Graduates (General Category - 60% and SC / ST - 55%)
(ii) ML Programmes:
ML in Business law
ML in Constitutional Law & Human Rights
ML in Intellectual Property Law
ML International Law and Organization
ML Environmental Law and Legal Order
ML Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Administration
ML Labour and Administrative Law
ML in Human Rights and Duties Education
A pass in BL (either 5 year or 3 year with 45% under new regulations or 40% under old regulations). Candidates who are awaiting for final year results can also apply.
(iii) Distance Education Programmes:
Business Law (PGDBL)
Environmental Law (PGDEL)
Information Technology Law (PGDITL)
Intellectual Property Law (PGDIPL)
Labour Law (PGDLL)
Human Rights & Duties Education (PGD)
Certificate Course in Documentation
A pass in any Degree Course / Candidates who are pursuing other courses after graduation may also apply.
(iv) UG Programmes of Affiliated Government Law Colleges:
a) 5 Year BA, BL Degree Course: HSc, (10+2) / CBSE / Other equivalent Examination recognized as equivalent thereto. (General Category - 45% and SC / ST - 40%)
b) 3 year BL Degree Course: Any Degree Viz., BA / BSc / BCom / BBA / BE / MBBS / BPharm / Other Graduates. (General Category - 45% and SC / ST - 40%)
Availability of Applications:
1) Separate application forms should be obtained for each course.
2) Request letter for application forms should contain the name of the candidates and the course for which the application is sought for (Viz., BA, BL (Hons.), BL (Hons.), ML, PG Diploma, Certificate Course, BA, BL and BL Degree Courses).
3) Application form for all the courses can be obtained in person or by post from the Office of the TNDALU on a written request along with the Demand Draft towards the cost of application form including Registration, drawn in favour of “The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai”, payable at Chennai.
4) To avail concession on the cost of application forms, SC / ST candidates shall submit a copy of their community Certificate along with their written request.

BA, BL (Hons.), BL (Hons.) & ML: In Person (General - Rs.1000/ SC-ST - Rs.500) & By Post (General - Rs.1100/ SC-ST - Rs.600)
PG Diploma and Cert. Course (DDE), BA, BL (Affiliated Govt. Law Colleges), 3 year BL (Affiliated Govt. Law Colleges): In Person (General - Rs.500/ SC-ST - Rs.250) & By Post (General - Rs.600/ SC-ST - Rs.350)
