Post Graduate Diploma programmes through the Biotechnology Finishing Schools (BTFS)
Online Entrance Test - Karnataka Biotechnology Aptitute Test (KBAT)
Online applications are invited for Admission to job-oriented one year Post Graduate Diploma programmes catering to the needs of Biotech-industry through the Biotechnology Finishing Schools (BTFS).
A very unique initiative in India with enhanced placement opportunities in Biotech Sector. Launched by Govt, of Karnataka, in association with Government of India the course offers different specializations in 12 reputed Institutions across the State.
Eligibility: Candidates' must have a minimum of 50% in Master's degree (from Universities of the State or any other University recognized as equivalent) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or any other Life Science related courses or B.E./B.Tech. in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics; Bachelor of Pharmacy/Agriculture, Veterinary, MBBS and BDS. Candidates who have appeared for M.Sc/B.E./MBBS/BDS FINAL EXAMS can also apply.
Selection will be done through an Online Entrance Test - Karnataka Biotechnology Aptitute Test (KBAT), followed by an interview at Bangalore. Details of course structure, fees, etc., can be obtained from www.btfskamataka.org
Fellowships: Rs. 5,000/- per month will be provided by the Dept. of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, for the candidates Selected.

2nd August 2012: Last Date to Submit Application:
6th - 7th August 2012: Online Exam
9th August 2012: Results of Online Exam
23rd - 25th August 2012: Interviews at Bangalore
31st August 2012: Final Result with Seat Allotment
15th September 2012: Course Commencement
