Financing Seats Under NRIs/NRI-Sponsored Category

Applications as per the prescribed format (Annexure-A to this notification http://www.skuast.org/new/admission/nribsc2012.pdf) are invited from the eligible candidates for Admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture courses of this University gainst Self Financing Seats under NRI/NRIs Sponsored category for the academic session 2012-13.
UG Programme:
1 B.V.Sc. & A.H.
Duration: 5 Years
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board /University
with not less than 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English subjects
2 B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture
Duration: 4 Years
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board /University with not less than 50% marks in aggregate in the following subjects:-
i. Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English
ii. Agriculture with Science subjects and English
Age: - Not less than 17 years as on 31st December 2012.
Note: The candidates who have completed their qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or equivalent from broad shall submit along with application form a copy of their certificate/ Transcript / Marks Sheet duly verified and certified by the Indian Embassy/High Commission in that country, stating that such examination is equivalent to the qualifying examination of Indian Boards/Universities.

Fee Structure: - B.V.Sc. & A.H. - Rs.75000/- or equivalent US $ per semester *
B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture:- Rs.28,000/- or equivalent US $ per annum*
* Fee for complete one year (for two semesters) shall be charged in advance at the beginning of academic session every year. The fee is in addition to the normal dues payable by the candidates.
Selection for B.VSc. & A.H./ B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture course shall be made on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or equivalent.
How to apply: -
Applications on the prescribed format complete in all respects accompanied with the following documents and a Bank draft for Rs.2000/- (Rupees: Two Thousand only) or equivalent US $ (non refundable) pledged to Comptroller SKUAST of Jammu and payable at J&K Bank RCC Jammu, must reach Registrar SKUAST of Jammu, Main Campus Chatha, Jammu – 180 009, India on or before 20th July 2012 alongwith the following documents.
a) Detailed Marks certificate of qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or equivalent from concerned Board/University. b) Marks certificate of Matriculation or equivalent examination and 10+2 or equivalent examination.
c) Date of Birth certificate (Matriculation).
d) Character Certificate by the institute last attended.
e) Proof of NRI status.
Either of the following documents shall be considered as a proof of NRI status: -
i. Attested copy of the Non-Resident Card/Green Card / Employment Card issued by the employer
Or
ii. Attested photocopy of the immigration / employment Visa entry on the passport along with details of the passport
Or
iii. Certificate issued by the Indian Embassy/High Commission in that country where the NRI is residing
Or
iv. Attested photocopy of the latest income tax assessment either in India or the country of employment filed in the status of Non-Resident Indian.
f) Certificate of sponsorship in original from NRI on the prescribed format (Annexure ‘B’ to this notification) duly attested by Solicitor / Legal Authority in the Country of NRIs residence along with proof of NRI status of the sponsor in case of NRI sponsored candidates.
Important
The University may cancel the admission of a candidate at any stage if it is found that the candidate obtained admission by misrepresentation of facts or that the admission was made erroneously.
Incomplete applications or applications received beyond the last date shall be
summarily rejected.
The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay.
