ADMISSIONS
Centre
for Bio-Polymer Science and Technology (CBPST), a unit of CIPET is in the process
of establishment at Kochi, Kerala in the year 2012-13. CBPST would be a model
centre for Academic Programmes in Bio - Polymer Science & Technology and
will also focus on promoting Bio plastics and allied industries. This centre
would also extend technical guidance and advisory services to the existing
industries and serve as an impetus for entrepreneurs for venturing into
establishment of Bio-plastics based manufacturing industries.
The main
objectives of CBPST are:
•
To create knowledge pool of Qualified Professionals through specialized
Academic Programmes in Bio-Polymers
Science & Technology.
•
To bridge the gap between Academic and Applied Research in Development of commercial scale of Bio-Polymers.
•
To undertake R&D projects in the niche areas of
Bio-Plastics/Bio-Polymers,
Biomaterials, Natural Fibres, Compostable Materials and Development
of Nanotechnology based Biomaterials,
etc.
CIPET in
association with Cochin University of Science and Technology is offering the
following Programmes:

Doctoral Programme in Material Science with Special Emphasis on Bio-Polymers
• Post
Graduate Programme in Bio-Polymer Science (M.Sc. – BPS)
The
