Executives General Management Programme
through Virtual Classroom (EGMP)
2013‐14
INTRODUCTION
EGMP is a One‐Year Part‐Time General Management Programme through on campus as well as virtual classroom teaching for middle/senior level professionals from corporate sector such as Banking, Insurance, IT, Marketing, HR, Operations, Consulting Government sector, Regulatory Bodies, practicing Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants and Company Secretaries to prepare them for advanced careers in management with an emphasis on the Indian and International business environment through a comprehensive and challenging curriculum.
EGMP will integrate advanced management theory, soft skills and quantitative methods with real world business practices. This programme has 255 hours of class‐room learning module. It will have eleven days (eight days in the beginning and three days at the end of the programme) of on‐campus learning module of approx 55 hours of teaching to facilitate close interaction with the IIM Lucknow faculty. The remaining of around 200 hours of class room learning will be facilitated through virtual platform on Thursdays and Sundays.
EGMP is a Management Development Programme and on successful completion of the programme, the participant will be awarded a Certificate of Executives General Management Programme through Virtual Classroom 2013‐14.
OBJECTIVES

􀂄 To develop analytical and innovative skills set in management to gauge change holistically and to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of organizations
􀂄 To strengthen leadership and team building skills
􀂄 To develop values and proactive attitudes for societal well‐being

CONTENT
􀂄 Core Courses
Core courses would cover a wide range of disciplines to enhance awareness, understanding and decision capabilities relating to enterprise management.

􀂄 17 courses in Accounting, Business Communication, Business Environment, Business Statistics, Business Sustainability, Consumer Behaviour, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Management Accounting, Management Information Systems, Marketing Management, Managerial Economics, Marketing Research, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Organizational Behaviour, and Strategic Management.

INTEGRATED PROJECT
The integrative project is an important part of the programme. The student would identify the management problem, develop and evaluate alternative courses of action and suggest the best option. Each participant would present the findings of his/her study along with a written submission. The evaluation of the project report is to be done by Industry guide and IIML faculty.
EVALUATION SYSTEM
In addition to the Term‐end final examinations conducted using online assessment at Reliance Web stores Ltd, other evaluation instruments; at the discretion of the faculty; will include one or more of the following:

ELIGIBILITY
􀂄 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with minimum 50% marks or CA/ICWA/CS ;
􀂄 Minimum of five‐year full‐time post qualification professional experience as on May 15, 2013.

SCHEDULE AND DURATION
􀂄 The programme has eight days of learning module in the beginning and three days in the end at IIM Lucknow Campus with a total of around 55 hours of on campus teaching.
􀂄 Classes will be conducted on Thursday (6:30 to 9:30 PM) & Sunday (10:30 AM to 1:30 PM) through Virtual Classroom (200 hours of class room learning)

FACULTY
The programme would be delivered by the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow faculty. Industry practitioners and entrepreneurs will be invited for few sessions for continuous industry interaction.
